Anthropic’s Claude Haiku 5.5 is the newest release listed in Opper AI’s October 2026 model tracker, arriving on Oct. 7. Mistral Large 4 followed on Oct. 6, while InclusionAI’s Ling 3.1 Flash rounds out the tracker’s three October entries so far.
Claude Haiku 5.5 is listed with a 1 million-token context window, input pricing of $0.10 and output pricing of $0.50. Opper assigns it an intelligence score of 43. Mistral Large 4 is listed with a 524,000-token context window, input pricing of $0.75, output pricing of $2.30 and an intelligence score of 38.
The release tracker presents the models in reverse chronological order and records the lab, context capacity, input and output costs, and intelligence score when those details are available. Ling 3.1 Flash appears without published context, pricing or intelligence figures in the tracker.
October’s early activity follows a busy September, when Opper recorded 21 releases. That month included Google’s Gemini 4 Argon, OpenAI’s GPT-6.1 Sol, GPT-6 Luna and GPT-6 Astra, Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Claude Opus 5.5, and xAI’s Grok 4.7.
The tracker shows the breadth of the current model market beyond the best-known labs. September’s entries also included models from Xiaomi, StepFun, DeepSeek, InclusionAI, Inception, OpenBMB, Meta and Alibaba, while August brought releases from IBM, NVIDIA, LG AI Research, Upstage, Liquid AI and others.
Why this matters
The main shift is not simply that new models are arriving, but that developers can increasingly compare them across practical deployment measures. Claude Haiku 5.5 combines a million-token context window with the lowest listed input and output prices of the two headline October releases, while Mistral Large 4 offers a smaller context window and higher listed costs.
That comparison also highlights why release timing alone does not determine a model’s usefulness. The tracker places model names alongside operational details, allowing teams to weigh capability scores against context limits and API economics rather than treating every new launch as interchangeable.
Opper’s tracker now covers 462 releases from 56 labs, with 462 models listed overall and three releases recorded for October. As the month continues, additional entries will show whether October’s pace accelerates and how new models compare with the substantial release activity recorded during the previous two months.
